What we think

Decor is where we first understood what a home could actually feel like.

Not long after buying our first house, we went to an open house down the street. It was a similar size and era to ours, a historic home with brick, crown molding, arched doorways, and hardwood floors. On paper it was familiar. In person it felt completely different.

At the time, our house was still in its early stages. A few pieces from art fairs, some wedding gifts, and a lot of empty space we had not yet figured out. The house we visited felt lived in, but not cluttered. Collected, but not styled. Every room carried a sense of time, of things chosen and kept, layered over years.

We still think about that house when we bring something new into our own. Most of what we love now comes from art fairs, online marketplaces, and antique malls. Those are the pieces we enjoy finding, and the ones we are most proud to have chosen ourselves.

We still buy new pieces when we need to. But the goal is not to recreate a showroom. It is to build a home that feels like ours over time, shaped by what we have found, what we have kept, and what earns its place in the space.
