About Material Fact
This site is about the things that earn our attention.
Some of it is stuff we own and use every day. Some we have lived with in the past. Some we are considering. Other things are simply objects we notice and think are worth a second look. The question is always the same: is this worth noticing, owning, or keeping in mind?
Most of the writing here is mine. It is largely a one-person project built outside of a full-time professional life that has nothing to do with any of this. My wife has a strong eye for design and style, and our kids are very good at quickly revealing what actually holds up in real life. That combination shapes what ends up here.
Watches, clothing, everyday carry, home objects, and small things we come across all sit in the same system. The only requirement is that something earns its place.
This is closer to a running record of attention than a catalog or a traditional review site, built from lived experience, curiosity, and the occasional object that stands out enough to be worth writing about.
